Foseco revolutionised inoculation practice with the introduction of metal stream inoculation in 1979 and sold more than 300 units of the 4PN type before it was replaced by the 68E.

The MSI SYSTEM 900 TYPE 68E is the latest generation of automatic metal stream inoculation machines to be developed and marketed by Foseco.

The Hundhausen foundry has been working with Foseco for years and the new MSI equipment is just another proof of the successfully partnership.
As the effectiveness of inoculation fades over time, adding inoculant to the metal as late as possible via metal steam inoculation is the most efficient method of application.

The MSI SYSTEM 900 is a robust system and when used in conjunction with Foseco’s in stream range of INOCULIN products, ensures reproducible and accurate addition of inoculant , increasing process control and creating greater consistency in metallurgical structure of flake graphite, spheroidal graphite and compact graphite irons.

Foseco has recently extended its range of in-stream inoculants to include lanthanum, barium and rare earth products as well as the new INOCULIN 900. These developments are in response to changes in foundry technology such as the increased use of steel scrap, more electric melting, lower nitrogen levels and a greater demand for process consistency.
