In total, nine Foseco plants have achieved this standard - four in Europe – and all remaining operations are actively working towards it.
The site in Hengelo was also awarded ISO 9001-2000 and OSHAS 18001 certification.

The plant in Chambery manufactures chemical products and materials for the non ferrous foundry and brazing industries throughout Europe and employs 34 people.

The Hengelo site manufactures coatings and binders for the foundry industry and employs 56 people. It is also the location of the European centre for the research and development for mould and core products.
Rainer Barth, Central Services Director responsible for Quality And SHE throughout Europe said, “At Foseco, we take our responsibility to the environment very seriously. Foseco has been actively involved in the development of products and processes that reduce environmental impact and improve the working environment. It is only right therefore that we should strive to reduce the environmental impact of our own production processes.”
